Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP US History, aka APUSH, is a challenging class. In my opinion, it's totally worth it! As a history buff, I loved learning about American history with a different perspective. Beware though, LOTS of notes required. Ah, the memory of a DBQ.

    Course highlights:

In APUSH, you cover the entire history of America before the first week of May. To begin, you have summer work- usually a few chapter outlines and a paper. You move quickly throughout the material and Kilgus helps along the way with cool memes (or at least he tries). While it's hard to keep everything straight once you break into the 20th century, it's neat to get college credit for a class in high school!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take APUSH for the grade boost, or any AP class for that matter. Taking APUSH teaches you a lot about your heritage, your ancestors, and lets you develop opinions on how "great" America really has been all its life. Do the outlines, do your reading, and try to respect others' opinions as you move through history.
