    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course with this teacher because he really teaches you to look deeper and deeper into yourself to find the true meaning in each selection we read. He also has helped me improve my overall writing skills. He prepares his students for college level courses that are required. I have heard numerous times from past students that without his class, they would never have been prepared for the expectations of college professors. I felt extremely challenged throughout this course but feel confident that I will succeed with what I was taught.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to find the deeper meanings of various types of literature and to analyze them. I also learned many different literary devices and how they enhance the overall meanings of the novel. This makes for better understanding of each piece that I have read.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready for a lot of reading and writing. This course is time-consuming but I found that as time went on I was able to grasp concepts easier and I was able to write about them by digging deeper and deeper into myself to find the true meaning. Once I was in the routine of reading and writing for this class it became easier for me.
