    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

English IV drastically enhanced my analytical ability in literature through interpreting poetry and novels, class discussions, timed essays, and so much more! I highly recommend this class for any future student.

    Course highlights:

In this course, one of the several highlights is class discussions. Through these seminars, all students were able to voice their own opinion without being judged or harassed for it. I have learned to be an accepting human being which will be applicable both in and out of the classroom as I encounter people with opposing opinions from my own.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study! Regardless of if you think you can simply finish your work the night before, adapting healthy study habits will assist you greatly within this course. It is rigorous but worth the time and effort. In this course, if you read a novel you don't particularly enjoy then try reading with a friend while each of you read a page to each other. After all, two minds is better than one!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Bernard truly brings the literature to life making the class feel more like a club or other extra-curricular activity rather than a required course.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the class was reading 1984 by George Orwell. It teaches you to appreciate the privledges you have in society now.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate. There will be weeks with no assignments in which you should take the opportunity to get ahead because soon the deadlines to several assignments wil be given within a few days or weeks apart from each other.

    Advice for students:
