Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Biology has broadened my understanding of biology and also allowed me to retain more information to keep with me through college. She helps us get involved and drives the information into our heads to ensure we have it forever.

    Course highlights:

This highlights of this course were doom. the hands on activities to allow me to visually see the things I am learning as well as get a feel of experience for it all. I have learned everything in extremes from the makeup of cells to how an environment interacts and how proteins are made to why we walk upright today.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be ready to work and dedicate a lot of time. This class is not hard as long as you keep up with assignments and pay attention in class. Always ask Ms Galush if you have questions and reread all you're information.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend AP Biology to any future students as it may be the easiest and most useful AP course in the system. Biology surrounds each and every person, so why not have an understanding of what is happening? In this course, you will learn just that.

    Course highlights:

The video notes created by Ms. Shelly Galusha were the best part of the course, second to none. Through these notes I was able to retain every bit of information needed for the AP exam in May.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take any and all notes given, and make either a study guide or flashcards out of them.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

In this course, a broad understanding of many sub-fields within biology are covered. Advanced Placement Biology is not for everyone, but for anyone that has even a mild interest in science, the course will flood your brain with knowledge unimaginable. The workload can be a bit overbearing but it is all worth it and very useful.

    Course highlights:

About halfway through the year, the focus of the class became biotechnology, which is a biology sub-field revolving around DNA manipulation, and it was quite fascinating. The students were taught how scientists separate the DNA molecules in order to study specific genes. It was the hardest part of the course but was the most interesting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To anyone considering taking AP Biology, make flashcards and have organized notes. You can get by without them, but it makes it so much easier.
