Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is not the hardest AP, so for students not sure if they want to take AP classes, Government is a good one to try to feel the waters.

    Course highlights:

AP Government and Politics goes over the basics and intricacies of the American political system. Students will explore all three branches of government, as well as the bureaucracy. Voting patters, distinct characteristics of political parties, and elements of the constitution will all be covered.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Learn the key terms of the course. The more vocab you know the more likely you are to excel on the free response portion of the AP exam. Also, make sure you read the Constitution. Understanding the U.S. government's basics will be paramount for succeeding in the course.
