Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is definitely challenging and you have to remain focused throughout your readings and coursework, but it's a worthwhile course that everyone should take. You don't even need to have any prior knowledge of psychology, but it would be helpful. It's an awesome class and the teacher makes it even better.

    Course highlights:

I gained a sense of study skills without them I definitely would not have succeeded in my classwork. Time management is also a huge necessity because the homework can get heavy throughout. The teacher is quirky and cool!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches you why people act, think, and behave the way they do. Another reason why I recommend this course is because you are able to learn syndromes and disorders that you have never imagined people would have.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is memory, intelligence, and motivation. I learned about dissociative identity disorder, which is a very controversial disorder because we are not absolutely sure whether or not it exists or people who claim to have it are simply role playing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Watch Crash Course videos to help you review the content material of the course. Make flashcards and know the vocabulary. This is absolutely helpful in free response questions of the AP test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Learning about psychology is always fascinating because you can connect the material you learn in the class with events in your own life or scenarios that you have observed! Mrs. Forshey is also a wonderful teacher with fantastic anecdotes and examples to help her students better understand the material.

    Course highlights:

Instead of just learning and regurgitating information onto the AP test, I also learned how to be a better person. I became more aware of the biases and stereotypes I follow and actively try to stay away from the negatives. Also, there is a section that teaches you how to study better which is pretty cool.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't sleep in class! Psychology is much more interesting explained in person than it is from a textbook.
