    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Psychology 101 with Professor Darby at Flagler College because the class was very engaging and fun. I learned new methods of learning that helped me excel in not just this course, but my other courses as well. The class was rigorous at times, but it was well worth it in the end because I discovered a passion for psychology.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was learning about how the brain stores memory and learns new data. We were taught better methods of studying that would help the information stay in our brains longer and actually become long-term memory. Because of the exercises we were shown in class, I developed better study habits and did a lot better in my other classes as well.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to any students taking this course would be to study. But really study. Don't wait until the night before to cram as much information as you can. Take detailed notes and begin studying from the day you are given the lecture. Review with a study group made up of your classmates and make sure to dedicate enough time everyday to study the material. Also, if you need extra assistance or don't understand something, be sure to let the professor know and he will help you.
