    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While she may seem monotone and aloof, or even discontent at times she really wants to help her students. At the beginning of the year I was not a fan of her, but over time she became much more bearable and eventually likable.

    Course highlights:

I have gained a lot of information about English and my strengths and weaknesses in the language itself.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take the course. You will learn a lot about your writing and how to improve it. I was a terrible writer, but thanks to the course even I recieved a 3 on the AP test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ap Language and Composition greatly prepared me for AP Literature and for college.

    Course highlights:

I learned about rhetorical devices and how to write an essay on other author's use of rhetorical devices. I also wrote a research paper, satirical paper, and tone paper.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course takes lots of effort, but if you're willing to put in time and energy, you will definitely further yourself as a writer.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Language and Composition was the first really challenging English course I took in high school. Every student learns about their individual writing abilities at the beginning of the year, and by the end has significantly improved at writing satire, description, and scientific research pieces.

    Course highlights:

    Scientific Research Paper, Writer's Portfolio

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start your papers early! Teachers will always help you with rough drafts and thesis statements. Never wait until the few days before, and never write papers start to finish with no proofreading!
