Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class goes very in depth and is not like your typical English class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the discussions that Mrs. Denomme had with us which is where we learned much of the course material from.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be willing to do the work and willing to learn. Aside from this, Mrs. Denomme is an amazing teacher and will prepare everyone for the AP exam.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this Advanced Placement course because it is a level higher than English 11, or even honors English. The class has a good setup to learn the proper material and prepare yourself for the Advanced Placement exam towards the end of the year.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was learning how to properly analyze writing pieces; as well as different ways to respond. Responses included a synthesis, argumentative, and rhetorical analysis.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students should stay up to par with the class and not fall behind. Between writing and reading assignments, a high school student can easily get sidetracked. Review class material during any free time.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course because it introduces you to new English strategies rather than going over and reviewing the things that have been taught in English since elementary school.

    Course highlights:

The class had very deep discussions about what it was that we were studying. It was fun though because the discussions were very informal yet the teacher got the point across and taught. I definitely learned how to become a better writer after completing the course and could tell how drastically it improved as I compared my end of the year writings to beginning of the year pieces.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The class is very simple if you make it simple. Paying attention and doing the homework is a very big part to success in the class and is what helps you to learn the most. If you follow those guidelines, then you are guaranteed to succeed in the class and on the AP exam.
