Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this class, mostly because Mrs. Rose is awesome. This class required lots of reading, but if you like reading it wasn't bad.

    Course highlights:

I have learned how to write a better research paper.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just Do it. It is a good AP course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course focused on pushing yourself to write better than you could before, and analyze information in a way that is easy for you to understand and reiterate, making your short and timed essays better than you though they could ever be.

    Course highlights:

The research paper the course requires you to write was crucial to my learning, I feel. It forces you to sift through limitless information and condense it into what you are trying to convey in just 7 pages or less. It made me a better persuasive writer and humanist.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework! If you show up to class and have no idea what is going on, you won't get the enrichment out of the program, and you're in the class to better your skills in English, aren't you?

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course and teacher so don't let its AP status scare you. The class is very essay oriented and hits especially hard on in class essays but because of this I am better prepared for not only my other highschool classes but also college. Mrs. Rose is a fantastic teacher and has taught me more about writing essays and grammar usage than any other teacher I have ever had.

    Course highlights:

Before taking this course I struggled with writing in class essays but due to having regular class periods dedicated to writing and Mrs. Rose's guidance I no longer have a problem. You will write a ton of essays while you're in this course and it does get tiring at times but because of it you will become a far better writer. There is a large unit of the class that focuses on the Puritans and it is important to take notes on the information that your teacher goes over regarding the material. You will be tested on this information. My teacher really focused on preparing us for the AP test and because of this I received a 4 on it. Overall I did not find this course to be difficult and recommend all types of students to take it. The AP test may seem intimidating but as long as you have paid attention to what your teacher has taught you about essays and skimming text for information you will do just fine.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to do well in this class one must be willing to pay attention and write a ton of essays. I think that everyone should take the class because in all honesty it is not that difficult and the skills that you learn in the class will help you in all of your future courses.
