Lots of Writing
This class was tough.
I would recommend AP United States History because it is an extremely rigorous class that forced me to improve my writing, reading, study, and discussion skills immensely. Even though most people hated its existence, most also came out better students, people, and Americans due to this class.
This course has a TON of reading and writing assignments in preparation for the AP test in May. On average I spent about 2-3 a night reading and taking notes. This class, in particular after the AP test, also can have amazing discussions on current world and US issues due to the degree of what you will know about the history of the United States. You will learn the ins and outs of American economics, politics, social and gender relations, artworks, literature, and religions.

Advice for students:
Prepare for long nights of reading notes and AP prep, but know afterwards you will not regret taking it no matter what you get on the AP test at the end of the year.
