    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a difficult course, but it will teach you more about how to use language than any other English course you may take. It will prepare you for college writing more than a regular high school course will. After I took this course, I felt like I had learned how to write a college essay.

    Course highlights:

In this course, my teacher had us writing essays nearly every week. We also read several books in class and were motivated to read even more outside of school. I enjoyed this class because it gave a very thorough instruction of the many types of writings and how to use the language within each different aspect of writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you write the essays that are required and practice with the example essay questions on CollegeBoard. Read like you've never read before and make sure the books challenge your skills. The best way to improve your writing is to learn from the best writers out there.
