Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this course. As a business management major you will be required to take it. It also shows you how to balance your finances.

    Course highlights:

I recommend this teacher because she is an excellent educator. She gives us practice after practice problems to do which is a good thing in this course. The more in class practice you get the better it is to do homework and do well on tests. I got a B in her class.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework as soon as you get it. Go over your course work that same day also. That will help you retain the information longer and can prevent you from cramming before a test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class lays the foundation for all accounting and non-accounting majors. As the first of several accounting courses, you will receive knowledge of debits, credits, financial statements, ledgers, journals and much more.

    Course highlights:

The most significant highlight of this course, for me anyway, was learning about 'adjusting entries,' and why they are so paramount in the world of financial accounting. Learning about adjusting entries has probably been the most difficult thing I've learned thus far; for I had assumed that journal entries remained constant. I, however, was wrong. The good thing, however, was that I learned something important while struggling with adjusting entries: accounting is a set of rules, and if followed, everything will proceed accordingly. My ordeal also taught me that all concepts in accounting are a skill, and like any skill, they can be taught and learned.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Allocate a minimum of 3-5 hours per week to this course, especially of you have had no prior experience with accounting. Lastly, do not always find it suitable to study by yourself. Whenever possible equip yourself with a team of at least 3-4 classmates each week in order to prepare for upcoming tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The key to accounting classes and passing is to read before you come to class! Just briefly read the material that will be covered and take a few highlights or underline somethings you need more help on and bring them up in class. This will help direct the teacher in teaching the material and show that you are really there to learn

    Course highlights:

This is just a basic course. If you get this down you will pass every accounting class after for sure!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and do the homework. Go to office hours so you can get more help
