Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I feel like as an American, there is a lot of history regarding African Americans that is never taught in high school.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the newfound knowledge of the accomplishments that African Americans contributed to society; as well as the tribulations that African Americans endured but overcame. History is never fun, but Ms. Dawson, knows her stuff when it comes to this topic and her lively articulation of the subject keeps one's attention throughout the lecture.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give a student is to pay attention, remember dates, and remember names and their associated relevance. This class isn't hard, but its not necessarily easy, you do get what you earn; if you put in the work, you'll be a success in this class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is very monotone and boring and tends to drone on an on. Attendance will start to help towards the end of the year when he gives out extra credit towards finals.

    Course highlights:

You will learn an exceptional amount about African American history that you most likely didn't know before.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Rely on classmates who have failed the class because they have the tests memorized.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

He teaches the class as both a history class and a bit of philosophy. No matter what your personal history is you will find yourself connecting to the material. You easily learn and recognize the content so long as you pay attention and take notes.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the early African empires prior to the Atlantic Slave Trade and how I as a young black student come from greatness as my ancestors were one of the ones who survived the Atlantic Slave Trade as well as Westernized slavery.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to what he says in class and do not take the occasional online assignments lightly. Take the time to do the extra credit, even if it does seem tedious as it will pay off later on when you are striving for an A in the course.
