    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you prefer to discover new things, and of course are into science. The breakdown of chemicals and elements is very fun and quite fascinating.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course are definitely the labs and experiments you get to conduct, and of course the amazing Mrs. Salazar. Mrs. Salazar breaks down even the most difficult topics so that they are easier to understand, and she gets that not every student learns the exact same. I learned how to break down chemical reactions, and see what cations react with what anions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not go into the course close minded, because if you do that, the course will not be fun. Go into the course with a positive mind state, that way when the hard stuff isn't so hard, and the fun stuff comes, you have an absolute blast in the class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry 2 gives a further and clear understanding of elements, how they act and react. The course is very challenging, yet it is very exciting and fun. Plus, Mrs. Salazar is the most wonderful teacher any student could ever have the privilege of learning from.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of the course are labs. Understanding how to make certain elements react with other elements in order to form a certain product is interesting. Once you get to lab and actually apply what you have learned, then the real fun begins.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To students taking this course, do not give up. At times the criteria given may be confusing and in large amount, but if you ever feel like you just cant do the task at hand, simply take a step back, take a deep breath, and get back to it. Just like any other course, you have to open your mind and be willing to apply yourself.
