    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Ms. Nunes made this course very interesting and encouraged students to practice what they learned in their day to day lives. She made sure everyone thoroughly understood the information she taught. One thing to know before taking the course is that she is a hard teacher and a hard grader but it is not in her interest to fail you. No matter how badly you do on tests, she finds a way to give you extra credit or ways to balance out your grade so you do well.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this course were that for everything she taught she gave us an example from her personal life. These examples were really easy to follow, often funny, and truly explained what you were learning. This course focused on the intro level of psychology and how the brain and mind work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to really go all out on writing your notes. When their are words missing, add them to the chart. Make sure you understand the definitions. I found it helpful to write my own definitions in addition to the ones given.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only was Ms. Nunes a great teacher who was very willing and able to help her students, but I found the subject matter was stimulating as well.

    Course highlights:

I specifically found the units on social psychology and psychological disorders. For psych disorders specifically, our exam for the unit consisted of reading descriptions and diagnosing the patient's disorder, which I particularly enjoyed. I also enjoyed learning about how psych can be applied to society in general, and not just the individual.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate on doing your notes. If you wait until the last minute, you will be extremely overwhelmed. The class is enjoyable, but tough, and you have to be willing to put the work into it.
