    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Burris makes you work hard, but you learn so much from her! She has high expectations, which means that everyone is always striving to meet them! If I ever had a question, she was willing to help me out, help me get to the answer without giving it to me. She has a desire to help her students be better learners, and she definitely did that for me.!

    Course highlights:

There is a lot of reading in this course. She had us prepare for SAT reading sections by reading many stories and doing comparisons. I grew as a writer because she helped us work on essay almost every week.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't like reading, you need to just be ready to work hard.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it helped me realize how passionate I am about reading and writing. Through this course, I discovered that literature is what I want to pursue for the rest of my life.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned how to analyze and interpret different types of passages that contain high vocabulary such as Shakespeare, Robert Browning, Jane Austen, and more. My writing skills have greatly improved because of this course, and I can now understand various types of literature.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students considering this course that they should not be afraid to step out of their comfort zone. Mistakes are not a bad thing as long as you learn from them. So they should not be afraid of failure, because that just means that they are one step closer to success.
