This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend it to people who are thinking I'm majoring in Computer Science because this really helps with a lot of math, for the people that will deal with this major.
Course highlights:
I honestly learned a lot there isn't any thing specific to tell. The highlight of this course are the finals it's totally hard but it's challenging I like challanges.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Concentrate and have fun with it because you would feel bored other wise
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would highly recommend this class to people because it provides a well-explained introduction to Calculus and also gives a well revision of Algebra. In addition, the teacher often stays after school to associate students for additional helps.
Course highlights:
Even though I was having some issues with understanding at the beginning of the course, my mathematical skills improved a lot throughout this course. I learned how to do higher level graphs, solve critical word problems, and basic knowledge about Calculus.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
My advice to the students who are considering this course is to do the summer-packet carefully by spending some time. Also it is very important to have a broad knowledge about Algebra and graphing skills.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course before taking any calculus course before hand because ms. Gowdy teaches math like no other math teacher in the school. She teaches with passion, and creates fun, alternative ways of learning a lesson in precalculus. And the best part is, you'll understand them better. The skills learned in precalculus will be used in calculus which is why you should take advantage of the class while you still can because you will learn a lot in there.
Course highlights:
I learned about using calculus in the real world and how it applies to it.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
Do your homework, make friends, form study groups to study, and do not slack off!
