Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry is a wonderful class with many hands-on and fun learning opportunities. Chemistry can be somewhat difficult at times but it is a great course to help better understand the Periodic Table of Elements.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course, I have learned how to balance and write chemical equations. This class has also helped me gain a better understanding of the Periodic Table of Elements. I also enjoyed doing labs which were hands-on activities.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in this class, you must make studying a priority. There is a lot of memorization, such as knowing ions that are a main topic and come up all throughout this course. Allow time outside of school to study and making flashcards and studying with friends is always a great way to be successful.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it to those who are pursuing anything in the science field or just find science amusing. It can get tough at times, but it is nothing a hardworking student cannot handle. The professor is very good about helping her students on an individual basis and making sure they understand what is going on.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot more insight into the field of chemistry and understanding why certain things occur. You really dive into the aspects of how and why things happen. I developed a lot more of connections and link between already learned topics, as well as discovering new topics and ideas.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you understand the material as soon as possible. Get it down as soon as you learn it because you will only build upon it at the next class or even worse move on with the assumption that you know it. As for studying make sure you do the problems in the book or find some online for extra practice. They really help.
