    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend taking AP Chemistry in high school. This course was the most dreaded class in my high school. Merely six out of forty students took the AP test last year. However, this did not discourage me and neither did it lessen my interest in chemistry. This course does not give you a hypothetical idea of college; it acquaints you with the realities of college studies and gives you a glimpse into college life. For me, this course helped redefine my love for chemistry.

    Course highlights:

I learned numerous skills and refined even more of my existing skills during this course. I learned about the chemistry basics which included atomic structure and even the more complex concepts such as organic structures. Concepts like thermodynamics, kinetics and equilibrium rates provided even more insight into everyday activities. At first, the course seems challenging, but I will always cherish the concepts learned and possibly even brag about them to other non-chemistry students.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is challenging, does require time, and above all practice. Without practice, this course can become a nightmare. Do not let the bulky book scare you. Toward the end, you will cherish all the memories and the concepts. This AP Chemistry course redefined my love for chemistry and it will do the same for you if you allow it to do so. Have confidence in yourself and be sure to enjoy the roller coaster ride!
