    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a very vigorous course, but when you have a teacher that creates a passion for chemistry, it is well worth it. You must read through chapters and do the practice problems in the book on your own, outside of your teachers direct homework. I reccomend a study group because tests are very challenging but studying with others help.

    Course highlights:

I gained a whole understanding of not only chemistry, but Chemistry in the real world and how it relates to life outside of school. The highlights were the teacher's passion and making it enjoyable, as well as learning a ton.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You really need to have the commitment to participate in this class and put in all the extra work to succeed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My passion for chemistry started with Ms. Riske. She is one of the funniest people I met who is so enthusiastic about teaching. This course allows you to learn the chemistry in different ways- through labs, lectures, reading the book, group work, or whatever method works for you. This freedom helped me succeed and enjoy this class. I absolutely recommend this course for anyone- even those who do not particularity like chemistry- for you get to experience and do very exciting and cool labs.

    Course highlights:

This course allowed me expand my chemistry knowledge a lot more. The highlights were of course the labs, which were not only very fun, but correlated and taught the material well. From this course I learned that I want to pursue a career in the field of chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Many people would consider this course difficult, and yes it is true you have to put a lot of work and effort if you want to succeed, but I enjoyed it. My advice would be to get help immediately if you feel like you are falling behind. Some people did not like the instructor's method of teaching, so be sure to know how to help yourself.
