    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For students pursuing a career in the medical world, this class is a great option to learn the basics of the human body and its functions. You are given the opportunity to perform traces on cats and use them as examples to learn.

    Course highlights:

You will go over a basic overview of everything in the body. Examples include - bones, muscles, tissues, liver, heart, gallbladder, appendix, brain, digestive system, immune system, skin, etc. For a full list of the specific topics, look up BIO 121, the college course of this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study as much as possible! Do your packets, as these include all the answers for the test. Also, come up with weird ways to remember your traces, as these will help you most.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this course. Bailey is a fantastic teacher and the whole curriculum is very hands on. It was one of those classes where even if I failed, I would still have loved the class. It is fun watching crime or hospital shows on television and knowing what they are talking about. You can also talk to doctors and know what they are saying with all of their medical terminology.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were definitely the cat dissections. We went over many different systems in the cat's body, and I learned so much about human anatomy and physiology through it. The course was challenging an there was a lot of memorization, but overall, it was completely worth it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice for traces! The course is very hands on and you need to know each name for whatever system you are working on. Read the book also, a lot of the test material is directly out of the reading.
