    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

After having taken Living Environment in 8th grade, I learned a very general overview of Biology however, this course offered a deeper look into what I already generally knew and really challenged me while still being very interesting and fun. This course was one of my favorites in my whole entire high school career and it helped me to apply information that I already had learned into more practical, in-depth situations that provoked more deep thought and investment in the material being taught. The course was packed full of material from cellular respiration to evolution and mutations which really required focus and dedication to learning. While the tests and labs were sometimes very difficult, it was all worth it and learning this information was very helpful for me to further develop my exam-taking skills and to help me remain on top of my work despite being in such high-level advanced classes.

    Course highlights:

This class not only taught me so much about Biology but it really helped me improve my efforts as a student. By constantly being challenged and tested on everything that we had been learning, this course had helped me to develop as a student and helped me improve studying habits and make sure that I am staying on top of my work since this was such an advanced class. This class really helped prepare me for college in the sense that I have improved my work ethic and I have been exposed to advanced AP classes which challenged me in very important ways.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice students to put their time and dedication into the class and to make sure they stay on top of their work whether it be homework or simply studying for a test. This class really challenges you and by staying on top of your work and remaining as organized as possible, it will be such a great learning experience and all your hard work will only help to benefit you in the future (of this class as well as in college courses).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was very interesting. It somewhat had to do with what I want to major in, so that made the class even more intriguing. The class is a lot of note taking but the teacher makes it fun. The teacher is quirky, but that makes the class better, because you don't know what will happen in the 40 minute period.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the circulatory system. I can remember how the heart pumps blood, where it pumps it too, and how blood gets oxygen. The course is so intriguing, this is just one example of the many things we learn, but it is important to know because it concerns us.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the power points, make flash cards if that helps, and keep reviewing up to the AP test. It's a lot of information, but don't get discouraged, because everything relates to each other in some way.
