    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you have never taken an honors course in Language Arts, be prepared. Speaking from experience, it was a hard transition from middle school to high school and then from regular Lit to honors. But, please do not be discouraged. If you are willing to work hard, it will pay off and will be reflected in your grades. Also, talk with your teacher, especially if you need help; you make a relationship that can help with tests and essays.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better understanding of how to read critically and my writing improved as well. I was also exposed to different authors of fiction like The Sound and the Fury by John Faulkner, and the Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, make sure to study and review past readings becuase chances are, the smallest details will be on the reading check. Also, take good notes. It may be tedious to read and write at the same time, but it helps to remember what is going on in the book.
