This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would definitely recommend this course because the teacher really cares. Some teachers get tired of you and you feel like you can only ask a certain amount of questions. Mr.Corbett never seemed tired with our questions though and he was always open to new ways to teach us and his door was always open no matter what time of day if we needed help with our math. When you have the right help, it's easier to learn anything.
Course highlights:
Highlights of this course were he would let us individually go to the board and solve problems that some of us didn't understand & also the fact that it was such a huge class. I learned that it's okay to ask questions.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Students who are considering this course should just know that you're going to ask a lot of questions and that's okay.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
This course was an extremely hard course for me considering I am not a math person nor do I do well at taking test/quizzes. The test average was a major chunk of our grade and the teacher had no sympathy for students struggling.
Course highlights:
I learned basic precalculus skills. I enjoyed the end of the year with him as a teacher where we had to write a 10 page paper about how math would be involved in our every day lives as adults within our careers.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure to do all homework because one bad test or quiz grade could drastically bring down your grade.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
The course is beneficial and somewhat mandatory but it helps push you past your limits and broadens your knowledge of algebra, precalculus, trig, and more.
Course highlights:
Some highlights of this course was specifically the learning of sine and cosine, and the probability course which I found most difficult.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Never skip on homework. It's that grade booster at the end of the term and helps you strengthen what you learned during class that day.
