Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Learning about how different countries came to be and how they developed their cultures greatly impacts a one's view on the world. Even if you still disagree with actions of another country, one can better understand why they may be doing it. It brings more awareness to the present world as well as an understanding of how certain parts of the world act.
I learned a lot about why country's are the way they are. For example, Russia has a long history of tsars and dictators, so the idea of democracy is still very new to them, hence it being much different from the U.S' democracy. I learned why countries in Africa are in such turmoil and finally understand why Somalia is one of the most dangerous countries to visit, since we spent time learning about Black Hawk Down.
