    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class. Mr. Pecevich is a great teacher and the learning experience is worth it. The class is a mix of hard learning and fun labs.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was getting to do hands on labs and figure out solutions yourself. I learned how to form precipitates, create solutions, analyze relationships between pressure, temperature, and volume, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY for the tests. DO not think you don't need to study. for each test I would recommend looking up the name of the unit/chapter and writing FRQs after it. Usually someone has a compilation of FRQs relating to the material you will be tested on.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you're into science but sucked at Biology, I would highly recommend chemistry. Especially with Ms. Ray because she's the type of teacher that actually gives you the reason why it applies to real life. It's kind of a hard class but it's worth it because you can analyze almost everything and know what makes something, well SOMETHING.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basic concepts of chemistry and I learned how it applied to real life. I learned the defining components of the things we use in daily life and how to sound smart when talking to others.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to take some time to study because I didn't really feel the need to but I didn't do so great because of it. Also, ask A LOT of questions when you can without being annoying (but I don't let that stop me)

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I personally found biology really interesting so I was willing to put in the time to self study and learn most of the concepts on my own. The teacher was not very experienced in teaching the course so there is a lot of self learning involved. However, the curriculum is challenging and engaging. With many AP courses, the course does revolve around taking the AP exam in May so if you don't like teachers "teaching the test" I would not recommend this course.

    Course highlights:

Learned the different body systems and the difference between viruses and bacteria. Overall taught me basic things about the world around me and why it works the way it does. It's more applicable than chemistry in my opinion. I wish we had done more labs, dissecting in particular.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Get ready to do a lot of tough, technical reading!
