    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was a great and thorough introduction to the field of Psychology. Having background in Psychology, such as completing an AP Psych course in high school or majoring in a Psych-related field (like BIBB), will help immensely in this course. Without a background in Psychology, I estimate this course to be of medium difficulty. It is important to not that I took this course during the summer, so it was highly condensed.

    Course highlights:

The most prevalent highlight of this course is the professor, Dr. Cobuzzi. She is always open to answering any questions during class, and she does her best to help all of her students succeed. Her enthusiasm about the course material keeps the lectures interesting, and her personal anecdotes help in learning the material. This course is a basic overview of Psychology, so everything from basic neuroanatomy and intelligence to memory and sleep patterns are taught. In this summer course, weekly discussion posts were necessary for a good grade. There were also two tests and one 3-page paper. It was very manageable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are required to take this course, try to take it with Dr. Cobuzzi. Everything in her course is manageable. It is a good introduction course for both the field of Psychology and for learning how to handle college coursework. She outlines a schedule at the beginning of the course so students are able to acclimate to college level courses. If you are an upperclassman, this course will be fairly easy.
