Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to familiarize themselves with the environment. It is a very unique and interesting course that will grasp your full attention. If you love the outdoors and learning about how the earth functions, this class is for you!

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course were all the hands on projects and experiments we completed. Spending time outdoors getting to know the environment enhanced how much I learned. We were thrown several useful information at us that taught me things beyond what typical educations provide.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is an introduction course, but preknowledge in this subject will help you tremendously. I recommend taking chemistry and/or biology along with this course or before.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was very good and flexible although this is not a course she regularly teaches so I am not positive she will teach it again. The course is very interesting and I thought it was worth my time to be there. Some of the homework assignments were difficult but Dr. Bordeaux was very helpful.

    Course highlights:

We learned about the different spheres of life, and how they work. We discussed their impact on us and our effect on them. For example, one of the most interesting classes involved a detailed study on The Yellowstone Ecosystem and how humans almost ruined the park by trying to preserve it by killing all of the wolves and suppressing wild fires.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to make sure you understand the material and ask questions when you don't. I would also tell them to work on the homework and study in groups. I would also say to take advantage of canvas and email other students and Dr. Bordeaux.
