Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course definitely gives a good overview of everything you want to know as you start in finance.

    Course highlights:

A lot of the stuff is straightforward, the value comes in asking the prof questions on your own. Also, the ideas on capital structure are pretty interesting.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to class, but not for the class itself -- go to ask questions. That will definitely clear up a lot of things for you.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He's a good instructor that knows the material well but fails to keep the class interested.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of basic finance fundamentals that were valuable in upper level courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the material - it's difficult to learn everything the night before the exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is useful for getting a basic understanding of finance concepts.

    Course highlights:

    Just finance basics and concepts.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Koskinen gives a lot of homework- way more than the other professors so if you're time constrained for the semester take another professor.
