    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Its a good class if you are used to memorizing for science classes. If you prefer math-based science, take another professor. Topp's exams are pretty similar year to year so that makes studying a little easier. In general it is a manageable class, the curve can be a little rough though.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the last topic about transition metals. The schrodinger model is a little difficult to grasp but that was also interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a week before the exams and go over all the material. This is a class that you can get away with no paying attention if you are willing to put in a significant amount of work the week before the exam. If you are taking a lot of credits, this may be better than taking the class with other professors that require more distributed work.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a challenging course, but if you find the right way to study you will get a lot out of it.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to really understand a problem conceptually.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do a lot of practice problems. And really do them, don't just look for the answers.
