    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is easy, fun, and the work load is very light and manageable. Not only is the work load not a lot, the topics our work was on were very interesting and insightful. I really learned a great amount after taking this course.

    Course highlights:

This course was separated into four different sections, so I learned all about plant biology, paleontology, synthetic biology, and human viruses/diseases.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to students considering taking BSC1005 is to go to class! Extra credit is offered to those who participate through the use of iClickers, and the credit given is very beneficial towards your final grade. You can earn up to four percentage points! Also going to class makes studying much easier because you will be able to recall things said by one of the four professors, who are all experts in the subjects they taught us. Professors also add more detail than what is shown in the textbooks, so going to class would take a lot of weight off your shoulders.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is such an easy but fun course to take. There are a total of four sections, each taught by a different professor. Then there are four unit assignments and four unit exams (one of each per unit).

    Course highlights:

My favorite unit was paleobiology. There was so much interesting information incorporated into the lecture, and I still reference information about dinosaurs in my conversations.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend actually going to the lectures, because the text books are not always easy to read through. You have a better chance understanding the material if you take notes in class. I also recommend creating your own study guide, because it is easier to study off of something you already know instead of what someone else knows.
