Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is really easy to follow, that is if you're paying attention. The information itself isn't too hard to devour by just reading the book, but Dr. Marks is able to make the information much more easier to obtain.

    Course highlights:

The interactiveness of the class. For example, in a lecture Dr. Marks brought tennis balls to represent NADH and its functions in the metabolism. Well NADH, NAD+ when not carrying an electron, is an energy carrier in metabolism. In different stages of the metabolic cycle, NAD+ takes Electrons from a complex molecule.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't slack of in class. It may seem easy, which it is if you pay attention, if you don't pay attention and always on your phone then you'll miss out on information.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr.Marks is a great professor who cares about his students. He is willing to help out his students, but you have to go to him! don't expect him to just reach out to you. Take advantage of his office hours and his discussions. He can go through the lectures fast in class, so utilize your free time to study and go over the material. Do not wait until the last minute to study for his tests

    Course highlights:

from taking this course, i learned a lot about the main components of life including carbohydrates. Also went more in depth about the cell, cellular communication, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Attendance isn't mandatory. but it is way better to go to his classes. Skipping his class won't get you anywhere. Take advantage of the iclicker points which sometimes he even puts on his tests. Also, take the time to go over his material in AND out of class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Jonathan Dennis is a great teacher and really tries to connect with his students. He is always trying to get the class involved with the lectures by asking us questions. He also is very good at relating to us and tries his best to help us succeed in every way possible.

    Course highlights:

I learned all I need to know about biology. I love how he posts his notes online so that in class we can pay attention and not have to worry about writing down all the notes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell them to attend class and to really pay attention to everything he is saying because it will be on the test. Also, biology is not an easy subject so if you have any questions just ask him because he is more than happy to clarify anything.
