Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Moffit was such a great professor. She keeps her lectures interesting and I learned so much from her class. Psychology is an interesting subject already, but the way that she taught the class helped me to get the most out of it as possible.

    Course highlights:

Her lectures are so interesting and she is really passionate about the subject that she's teaching. She knows so much about Psychology and Neuroscience and you can tell how much she loves teaching the subject. It's easy to do well in with the amount of extra credit that she gives out.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and pay attention to the lectures, do the extra credit, fill out the study guides.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is very interesting and very hard to do bad in. Quite frankly, I don't believe there is anyone that has taken this course and come out of it not wanting to share at least one piece of intriguing knowledge they learned throughout the semester.

    Course highlights:

Each chapter touched on completely different aspects of psychology from the structure of the brain all the way to psychedelic drugs. All the topics are very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. Focus on each lecture and when you go home make sure you review the notes and understand each topic fully. Get all of your research credits done right away so they are not a burden when it comes time to study for exams.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend everybody to take this course because not only does it teach you about how the human mind works but it also opens your knowledge to studies that have been performed to help us better understand why we do the things that we do. Taking this class will leave you wanting to dive in deeper to this interesting subject area to learn more on your own time. Unlike most classes where it leaves most students asking why they are learning this and when they would need the information they learned for the future, this class can be helpful in the future and can be applied to future situations. For example, in this course you learn about memory and how to properly study something to retain information in your long term memory which was particularly helpful to me because I was a freshmen when I took this course and that was something I needed help in.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I particularly enjoyed watching videos of studies being performed. Also as a part of this course you are required to participate in a certain amount of research studies that were being performed on campus by students. It consisted of you taking surveys that aided in drawing a conclusion about a topic based on percentages and answers. It was very interesting to actually watch the studies being performed. It also provided helpful information on how to properly perform research projects. Because I aim to be a pediatrician, it will require me to perform many research projects and taking this class was a helpful aid. I also learned what happens while we sleep, and how people become addicted to things like drugs and alcohol.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is very easy as long as you put in the work. I would recommend knowing the definitions to key terms as well as major studies, as they are a major part of this course. It is best to make flash card with the term on one side and the definition on the other. By looking at and filling out the study guide given to you by the teacher, you are sure to pass this class with flying colors!
