    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Not only did I learn about the grammar, vocabulary, and culture that comes with the Spanish language, but I also learned the importance of a relationship with your professor. Johanna Méndez cares about her students personally and takes the time and effort to show that. She made this class enjoyable, and has made me even more interested in being fluent in Spanish.

    Course highlights:

I've learned the most grammar in this class than I ever did over the 7 years that I took Spanish in high school. Johanna makes even the most difficult grammar easy to understand by her in-class activities.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Even if you have little experience with the Spanish language, take this class! Also, make sure you keep up with the online homework through Connect.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Tough class, lot of Spanish, not a lot of english. She talks very quickly, and it is very easy to get behind. Keep on track on the homework, and take lots of notes in the class.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about spanish, and all the conjugations. It really prepared me for the next spanish course. I learned that you could take context clues in order to help you understand vocabulary that you don't know.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice I would give would definitely keep brushing up on your Spanish 1 stuff before taking it, and throughout the course. Take a lot of notes, and make sure you study really hard, the test are very difficult. Get to class early on test days because a lot of the kids already know what the test is on from friends, so you can get their input.
