    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great Class! The professor helps you understand basic financial concepts in an easy to understand manner. He also gives you great latitude in making assumptions on your financial projects so you are able to work on something that is tailored to your personal interests.

    Course highlights:

I was able to finally understand basic financial material. I finally built a budget for the first time and learned about how the government operates financially. I also learned how to understand an organizations position based on their financials and to compare organizations to one another financially. You'll learn a lot of useful and practical things in this class!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask a lot of questions. Go to office hours. Read the text. Don't overthink the problems. Make sure that you approach this class seriously as there is a lot of material to cover and you'll gain very useful skills, but also don't over think it. A lot of the materials are pretty straight forward except for debits and credits, those take some getting used to.
