    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend taking this course with Dr. Simmons. It is an extremely difficult course but if you attend class everyday and really listen to what Dr. Simmons says to do, you can master it. Do not be afraid to ask questions and even go to his office hours, it helps tremendously. If you show the effort he is more than willing to help you. If you dedicate the time to this class that it requires you are able to learn so much.

    Course highlights:

This course is by no means easy and includes A LOT of information. But I learned more than I ever imagined possible in a chem 1 course. Dr. Simmons really helps you to thoroughly learn the basics that you need to be successful in future chemistry courses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work. You will have to dedicate a lot of time to this class to truly get out of it all that it can provide you with. Do not get behind, review material after every class. It is much more difficult to catch up, but if you keep up with the course work this class is very manageable.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Tons of online homework that normally never appear in lectures or on any tests. Lectures mainly consist of example problems which is nice but can be an overwhelming amount of information in one lecture.

    Course highlights:

Out of the 9 quizzes given, 7 of them were take home quizzes which really helps you learn problems for the tests.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go to class and take good notes on the examples. Study the examples before tests and you'll do fine. DO NOT wait until the last minute to do the online homework because you will not finish.
