Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives a great introduction behind the quintessential foundations of the human species. Before this course I thought of history in independent and unrelated sectors with nothing but dates attached to them, now i know the relationships between every major aspect of history and the significance of these events.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning how unimportant the European world was to post industrial history. Throughout this course i remember learning how powerful the Chines dynasties were and how overall the middle east had economic and cultural dominance with the introduction of the silk trading route throughout Asia. Another highlight was understanding the deep roots of country rivalry and why they still exist today such China and Japan, France and Britain and many others. This helped me understand modern events at a deeper level than before.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say that it is necessary to come into this class with the intention of connecting all events. You may think that many events have no relations but they all do in some way or another, the more connections you make the better you will understand the course. Also always read the chapters and become with the vocab on a weekly basis as this will provide you with a groundwork of understanding.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course gives a thorough overview of the history of different countries starting from the earliest civilizations to the modern era.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the explanation of interconnections between civilizations and how events in one civilization influenced another.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The key to success in this class is to complete all the reading and to take notes. Although all the information seems daunting at first, the process of reading, taking notes, then hearing the lecture in class helps the student subconsciously retain the information.
