Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because it provides an essential introduction into the various softwares used by engineers. AutoCad and Solidworks are two that stand out because they are industry standards. The instructor is also extremely helpful and understands the intricacies of the programs.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this course was the construction of a scale model of a house. We were provided a kit with all the necessary parts to construct the house, and our group was given a deadline to complete the house by. During the project, we cut all the wood by hand and put together the entire house by hand as well. The project was not easy, and required a lot of teamwork and dedication to complete. This project taught us the importance of precision, and adherence to directions, as well as teaching us some basics on house construction.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to get your work done on time. each individual project may not seem to daunting, but by slacking, the workload quickly builds up. Also, remain focused. The class structure is not too rigid and allows students to work at their own pace and method, but by allowing yourself to get distracted, many problems start to arise.
