Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My sophomore year of pre-AP english was a great course. It focused students on analyzing different stories with a follow-up writing assignment. The writing assignments improved ones' writing skills tremendously as the year progressed.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were that the teacher was blunt and gave their honest opinion on your writing. The grade you received is the grade you earned, no sugarcoating anything. Also the teacher wrote their feedback on the students' paper to show where improvements could be made. During my time in this class, I learned how to become a better writer.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to take this course. It is beneficial to them and will eventually help them in the future. It is a course that has made me a better writer today. Even if you do not plan to become a writer or a journalist, it is a course that will only add to your writing skills.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend English Language and Composition because it is the foundation for learning to analyze nonfiction such as argumentative essays and speeches.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basis for writing an analytical essay on style, speeches, and arguments.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is new and hard. Don't be tough on yourself. Everything you learn will be your first time around and it will seem overwhelming and unfamiliar. Everything will make sense by the end of the year.
