Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for dedicated students who have an interest in a career with computers or networks in their future. This course goes in depth about all sorts of networks, devices, cables, and all the equipment and software necessary to create the appropriate network for any kind of situation. I do not recommend this course for students who do not like to study since this course requires a large time of reading and studying for every part of the course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course came from the Capstone project I had to do in my Senior year. I had to make a report and a presentation on dynamic routing protocols which are protocols routers use to configure their paths on their own with minimal human interaction. The report consisted of past knowledge I have learned from lectures and reading and I have made one of the top reports of the class. The presentation consisted of the information the report had and we had IT professionals judge our presentations. I learned that even though I need more training and studying with the profession of IT I know that this is a career that I want to set my future with.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This may sound strange or not, but have some effort in the work. Most of the lab assignments can be done in less than half an hour, but most students would blow it off until the last minute. Reading the material is crucial to everything in the course which includes the assignments and exams which are given often and can sneak up upon you at any given moment.
