Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This songwriting course was helpful! Troy Frank(Adam) was an awesome professor and gave great advice on how to write lyrics because that is a step in the song writing process that most people get stuck in. Great lectures that you will not want to miss even if you wake up late for class.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights from this course were great studio work flow. Mic placements, vocal warm ups, and also the writing process during labs were some of the best times in class because we got to learn from each other and also learn from guest speakers from successful people in the production industry.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Practice your music scales. Choosing a chord progression for your music will keep you back if you do not know what chords will work and knowing your scales and knowledge on how to borrow from other scales will save you a lot of time. Another thing you would like work on is just free writing. Writing your lyrics will take some time, but you do not want to take to long when if you want to keep up with the class schedule.
