    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is extremely difficult and challenging. Dr. Kramer teaches the course in such a personal, interesting way and he teaches more than you would think you could learn or understand. This course will prepare you extremely well for the science courses you will take it college. It is incredibly unique to be a part of such a higher lever course. You will surprise yourself in a positive way while you are in the course.

    Course highlights:

In IB HL Chemistry, I learned and are still learning more than I could imagine. It opens your world to the future. It gives insight on how your college courses will be like. The highlights of the course are that it is surprisingly fun, even at the most difficult times. Everyone in the class is one big family because we are all going through it together. We help each other out and our teacher is always there for us to help. We are forced to use our minds and dig as deep as we can in order to figure problems out.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Try! Join the course and give it a chance! It is extremely difficult, but will help you in more ways than you would think. If you take the course you are a real warrior. Ask for help if you need it and work together with your classmates to crack cartain problems. People will look up to you and it is a real honor to be in this class. Keep your head up!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the concepts are taught through theory and the labs allow practical learning of the same concepts.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for this course is learning about organic chemistry. Although I have not learned this topic as of writing this, the topic is 3 month's worth of learning. In addition, the course provides challenging concepts that want you to learn to obtain mastery in the course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

People who take this course definitely need to have knowledge about basic chemistry concepts, either from a Pre-AP/Pre_IB course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course! Already having enjoyed 10th grade Pre-IB Chemistry, I decided to enroll in this course. I was challenged but always understood what we were learning and excelled by studying hard. The labs were interesting too!

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of specific things about chemistry and expanded on my prior knowledge. The labs allowed hands on experience with laboratory techniques and ideas. The Internal Assessment allowed for personal growth and proved to me that I could apply what I had learned. Organic chemistry was a very difficult but very interesting topic and would have to be my favorite.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely study! I recommend making study guides and review sheets for every topic so before the tests students can study a condensed version of the unit. Before the IB test this was a great help!
