    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course requires a lot of work. If you're not willing to put in the time to do all of the required readings and work, I would not recommend you take this course because it can damage your GPA.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about historians and what IB Exam skills are important to constantly practice.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study as much as you can and make a historian list throughout the year because the IB Exam covers both year one and year two of coursework.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is an inside look to how difficult a college course would be with the safety of a high school environment. They still hold your hand as they do in high school, but the class itself is at a college level difficulty.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how to properly research a topic for my IA. This was my first time truly doing research other than looking through a given textbook. I had to find resources that were accurate and reliable in order to support my IA topic. It was an awakening to how much work college would be.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take a lot of notes during class. Go over them each day so you don't have to cram them all in before a test. Make sure to read the journals he gives, as they will be part of the quiz. Also just pay attention, as he often says a lot of information during class that isn't on the powerpoint.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, however it is a requirement of the IB Diploma. This course goes into detail on the History of America and how it came to be, which is why it is a 2 year course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning all the little details about History that happen to be very interesting. Also, I actually enjoyed doing the research paper, my topic was interesting to research and write about.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to put in a lot of effort, there are a lot of homework assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects. Do not be afraid to ask for help because the teachers know a lot.
