College credit is obtained if you pass the advanced placement exam and it provides the student with a "college like" experience in terms of work load. The course offers students an indepth look at the history of our nation.

Advice for students:
Be organized and well prepared for class. Take thorough notes and annotate critical ideas as they are presented during the lecture. Spontaneous reading quizzes also could be challenging. You get what you put into a class. I began studying for the AP exam in January which resulted in a score high enough to achieve college credit.
