    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

A very, very challenging class, but very rewarding in the quality of information learned.

    Course highlights:

The study of life is already a fairly interesting topic because you learn about things that others encounter every day. This specific course was extremely specific and detailed in the information learned. There was also a lot to learn in a very little amount of time, which made the class move pretty fast.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need an open mind and need to be able to study your notes thoroughly and intensely. The book was not very helpful for me personally because it was too wordy and unclear, but the diagrams were helpful for visualizations.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was a difficult class for me, it is the first class I havent made an A in. The devil is in the details with this course. There are certain circumstances in which I would and wouldn't recommend someone taking this course. I think that if you are willing to put fourth the time and effort to truly understand the material than I say take the class. It will be challenging but it wont be the death of you. If your plan is to go through this course and just memorize the material you have been given than I do not recommend this course. As previously stated, this material has to be understood, not memorized.

    Course highlights:

I really did learn a lot from this course. There are days where I see something as simple as a carrot and remember learning about it in AP Biology. Carrots are tap roots, they're a result of a dicot, which, if you have never taken this course, means absolutely nothing to you but is something that will stick with me forever. I gained a lot of good study habits from this class too, I had never realized how poorly my study routine was before this class and that was definitely a learning curve. This also helped me realize that I am a visual learner and flashcards help me tremendously. There is so much to be learned from this course if you're up for the challenge of taking it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to be self motivated in order to get through this course and truly learn. Studying is a must in this course and if you are a visual learner like myself I highly recommend making flashcards for each unit. Flashcards can be extremely time consuming to make but pay off in the end. The teacher goes through a set of guided notes each class period during lecture so if you're an auditory learner, this class will be great for you.
