Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The workload is very easy to deal with if you manage your time efficiently, the books are decent by the end of the year. Overall, it should be an easy B to A- course.

    Course highlights:

At the end of the year we read the Things they Carried. It was by far one of the best books we read in the entirety of high school.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

MANAGE YOUR TIME. The annotations will catch up with you if you procrastinate. Same with the essays, although he is not a stickler for late work.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely love this course. I'm a big book fan, and the literature taught is excellent. The IB English education style suits me very well, and the creative aspect of the class keeps me on my toes.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the effect of bringing a book to life through film, and how it alters the perception of the story. I've also learned about the backgrounds to the authors we read about, and how that affects their writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend being on top of your work in this course. The format of the homework is reading every night and responding to it, so if you get behind, the work can really pile up.
