    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Harris is a wonderful teacher. I got a 5 on my AP exam and a 99 on the regents!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyze documents and perspectives of historical figures. I learned how to chronologically think of important historical events and how to be educated on important events in history that still prevail today.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of your homework early. Don't get behind on chapters. Participate in class and ask questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Initially, taking AP U.S. History was super stressful! The first few weeks into school I realized that I would be learning lessons that I would remember for the rest of my life! Mr. Harris is the greatest teacher, and his lessons are incredibly engaging! Even if history isn't your favorite subject (although its my favorite), you will develop a newfound appreciation for American History!

    Course highlights:

I learned so much where is there to begin.. I can tell you about every single war America has ever been a part of, each president's legacy left behind, various eras including the harlem renaissance, roaring 20's, great depression, industrial revolution, agrarian revolution, etc. My favorite part of the year was when we were learning about World War 2 and my teacher brought in real artifacts from the war including newspapers, uniforms, and gas masks.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important advice I can give for success is time management! It is so so so so important to set time aside specifically for AP US History. You will have a lot of material to cover in a short amount of time before the May AP Exam so make sure that you put effort into each and every assignment and try to learn all that you can.
