    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course gave me the opportunity to expand and push past my comfort zone in order to grasp unconventional thought processes. Additionally, tying art and music into literature created seemingly unlimited options as far as a direction to go for my studies.

    Course highlights:

An obvious highlight of this course was definitely the field trips, because it actually applied what we were learning in class to real life outlets, which made it worthwhile. However, an underappreciated aspect of this course is the amount of work and effort that Mrs. Shrader puts into the course to make topics and themes flow together, which is the glue that keeps curriculum relevant and engaging.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I needed to meet up with Mrs. Schrader for time to time to make sure that for assignments I was staying on the right thought process. Additionally, avoiding procrastinating is key because falling behind while reading a book never ends well!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Yes you go on field trips and Ames does bring you to many cool restaurants but, remember it is still a class that you probably paid for. So do not procrastinate it is still a lot of work so don't have too much fun

    Course highlights:

The senior project is a good percentage of your grade so don't wait until the last minute to finish it. Learning about everyone else's influential person is a nice little treat as well so make sure to listen

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate, hand in everything on time

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Humanities is an English class that is a substitute for English 12. It is great in the way that it focuses on not only English, but art, music, and history too. People have the ability to learn so many great things in this class while also learning of things that aren't just "English" and that can really help with making a class easier to take.

    Course highlights:

I learned many things but the main thing I appreciate learning is how to write a good essay. Writing essays on things that don't bore you to death make it so much easier to right a good, interesting essay! This class was rarely boring.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate. You are giving a reasonable amount of time to do essays and read books, don't abuse that. Also, don't do things half-heartedly. If you don't appreciate having a class that is giving you English credit without the unbearable year of repetitive English tasks, you shouldn't be there.
