    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Overall, I'd recommend this course because of all it has to offer. In my experience, I got so much more insight on books that actually interested me and got extremely useful advice on how to write a very good paper. Throughout the year you'll get a better insight on things you wouldn't usually look into so deeply in a regular English class. This course focused on making sure your opinion was heard, so things like argumentative essays and debates came easy by the end of the year. I would one hundred percent recommend this course, not only for its many advantages, but for the amazing teacher leading it as well.

    Course highlights:

One of the many highlights of this course would be the debates we would have every Friday. In the beginning of the week we would be assigned a topic. We then would have the rest of the week to do research on that topic and get a better understanding on how to create a successful argument on it. When the day would finally arrive, we would separate ourselves into two groups that depended on which side we were on. After we finished our debate, we would be graded on how we created our arguments and how much information each group offered. Today, I can say with complete confidence that I can successfully make an educated argument with someone.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice I would give for this course is to not be afraid to speak your mind. The teacher makes sure that you feel you are in an environment that you can be respected and be heard. Also, I would say make sure you make the time for this class. Since it was an honors class, you will be spending a lot of time writing papers. Besides that, you shouldn't worry about this class as it was very fun.
